GENDER AND SEXUALITY
Gender and sexuality have different meanings but are used differently. We are all surrounded by gender from a young age.
In this social culture, sexuality refers to the biological category of male or female and is defined by physical changes in genetic makeup and reproductive anatomy and function.
Gender refers to the social qualities and opportunities associated with men and women, the relationship between women and men and the relationship between girls and boys, and the relationship between women and men.
Sexuality covers almost every aspect of our existence, from attitudes and values to feelings and experiences.
Gender refers to those characteristics and roles of women and men that are socially constructed. That means social roles and relations between men and women in the society. It affects all parts in our life such as, social, economic, and political. It is what we except men and women to behave.
"Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance."
- Kofi Annan -
Ideas about how men and women are expected to behave, dress, and communicate all contribute to gender. Gender is also a social and legal status as girls and boys, men, and women. Gender is society’s set of expectations, standards, and characteristics about how men and women are supposed to act.

Gender equality, also known as sexual equality or equality of the sexes, is the state of equal ease of access to resources and opportunities regardless of gender, including economic participation and decision-making; and the state of valuing different behaviors, aspirations and needs equally, regardless of gender.
"Achieving gender equality requires the engagement of women and men, girls and boys. It is everyone's responsibility."
- Ban Ki-moon -
UNICEF says gender equality "means that women and men, and girls and boys, enjoy the same rights, resources, opportunities and protections. It does not require that girls and boys, or women and men, be the same, or that they be treated exactly alike." This is something I also accept.

The study of gender and language in sociolinguistics and gender studies is often said to have begun with Robin Lakoff's 1975 book, Language and Woman's Place, as well as some earlier studies by Lakoff.
Sexuality is prejudice or discrimination based on one's sex or gender. Sexuality can affect anyone, but it primarily affects women and girls. It has been linked to stereotypes and gender roles, and may include the belief that one sex or gender is intrinsically superior to another.
Human sexuality is the way people experience and express themselves sexually. This involves biological, erotic, physical, emotional, social, or spiritual feelings and behavior.
"All human beings deserve equal treatment, no matter their gender identity or sexuality."

From what has been discussed, it is clear that gender and sexuality are very important aspects of personal identity and that we should have some knowledge about them.
It enhances the overall well-being of individuals and communities with opportunities to interact with others. It is no secret that many crimes are committed in society due to lack of knowledge.
